Trip Overview
Chele La Pass (3,780m/12,402ft) is one of the highest pass situated in Bhutan.
Chele La Pass trek offers a combining experience of natural and cultural wonders of the region. Dwarf Rhododendrons and many species of Primula are common sightings in the trail. During spring, the forest in the region is filled with color and variety of vegetations.
While crossing the pass, one can enjoy the panoramic view of two great valleys of Paro and Haa, and the mountain ranges dominating the background.
Outline Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)
Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing and trip preparation
Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Paro (2,135m/7,000 ft)
Day 04: Explore Paro yourself
Day 05: Paro to Chonana, 4-5 hrs walking
Day 06: Chonana to Jebkarpo, 5-6 hrs walking
Day 07: Jebkarpo to Lower Mingula, 4-5 hrs walking
Day 08: Lower Mingula to Thong, 5-6 hrs walking
Day 09: Thong to Drugyel Dzong, 3-4 hrs walking
Day 10: Drive to Thimpu, 2 hours
Day 11: Thimpu to Wangduephodrang
Day 12: Wangduephodrang to Paro
Day 13: Fly from Paro to Kathmandu
Day 14: Half day Kathmandu valley sightseeing
Day 15: Departure from Kathmandu
